We are happy to announce that Dr. Scott McDonald will be back at Bird Is The Word performing his well bird checkups on Tuesday, April 15th, from 10am to 8pm. At this time his schedule is full, but we are taking names for a waitlist in case of cancellations, so give us a call if you’d like to book a spot – (630) 406-7610. Remember to fast your birds 4 hours prior to your appointment time, and remember to transport them in an appropriate carrier. As always, Dr. Scott prefers cash for payment.

After 32 years of love and hard work from Sally, she officially passed the torch to me today! We’re beyond grateful to announce that my family & I will continue the legacy she built. It would be a disservice to our amazing Batavia community to close the doors, and we’re devoted to keeping 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐈𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 alive for everyone to enjoy!

I met Sally when I was in high school with her boys & fell in love with all the birds she had in her home. Our flock came from Bird is the Word & our blue & gold “Lucy” will be the new resident Macaw! Can’t wait to meet you all!
